  • With over 4 million controllers in the field, and a warranty repair rate of less than .1%, Specialty Concepts Inc. has a 45-yearlong reputation for quality and reliability. The ASC(tm) has been proven to provide accurate and consistent battery charging over the long haul. Epoxy sealed and waterproof, with nickel-plated brass hardware, the ASC will work under water*. It is also designed to charge a completely dead battery**. Built-in lightning protection provides an added element of reliability in the event of a near-by strike. Available in 12- and 24-volt versions, with Isc ranging from 1 amp to 16 amps, the ASC is perfect for small remote photovoltaic systems. Some models are also available with battery temperature compensation***. As one oil field engineer once stated, "The ASC is bullet-proof". This has been our goal for 45 years.....and counting. * but we do not suggest doing this ** battery must be in good condition and be able to accept a charge *** rate is approximately 5 mv/degree C/cell
